Abstract
The policy states that measures to deal with violence include the establishment of preventive procedures, the provision of appropriate early intervention procedures, and the administration of disciplinary action in accordance with law and policy. Prevention activities relate to school leadership, student programs, supervision of school- sponsored activities, staff training, and community liaison. The policy also states that each school should prepare a response plan to deal with violence, weapons, or youth gangs on school property.
