Abstract
THE PROTECTION OF THE CRIME SCENE FOR LABORATORY TECHNICIANS, LOCATING A SUSPECT WHO MAY STILL BE IN THE AREA, AND CANVASSING THE NEIGHBORHOOD FOR WITNESSES ARE AMONG THE INVESTIGATIVE PROCEDURES RECOMMENDED FOR THE CRIME SCENE. THE ITEMS TO BE PHOTOGRAPHED AT THE SCENE ARE LISTED. DEVELOPING AND RETAINING LATENT PRINTS ARE DISCUSSED. ITEMS OF EVIDENCE OT LOOK FOR IN VARIOUS TYPES OF DEATHS ARE DESCRIBED. INVESTIGATIVE PROCEDURES PARTICULARLY RELATED TO GRAVE SITES, TYPES OF BULLET WOUNDS, AND INVESTIGATIONS ASSOCIATED WITH VEHICLES ARE EXPLORED.
