Annotation
AN ARGUMENT FOR THE DEATH PENALTY AS A DETERRENT FOR SERIOUS CRIME AND THE PROPER ACTION FOR SOCIETY TO DEAL OUT TO THE CRIMINAL WHO HAS INFLICTED DEATH ON MEMBERS OF SOCIETY.
Abstract
IT IS ARGUED THAT SOCIOLOGICAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL INTERPRETATIONS OF CRIMINAL BEHAVIOR SHOULD NOT INFLUENCE THE APPLICATION OF PENALTIES, SPECIFICALLY, THE DEATH PENALTY. IT IS HELD THAT THE ELIMINATION OF THE DEATH PENALTY WILL INCREASE THE LIKELIHOOD OF VIOLENT AND MURDEROUS BEHAVIOR.
