Abstract
Delaware's State Bureau of Investigation is responsible for maintaining criminal history record information, based on information supplied by police officers, court officials, and correctional facilities. Legislative provisions concern the operation of a Child Sex Abuse Information Repository, criminal background checks for child care providers and for public school employment, the maintenance of an accurate criminal justice information system, access to public records and meetings, challenges to the accuracy of criminal history records, and criminal history record checks for the sale of firearms.
