CONCENTRATING PARTICULARY ON MEXICO CITY, THIS STUDY SEEKS TO IDENTIFY SOME OF THE CAUSES OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY AND EXPLORES SOME POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS HISTORICAL AND CULTURAL FACTORS ARE DISCUSSED.
Abstract
THE FIRST PART OF THE TEXT PRESENTS AN HISTORICAL-PSYCHOLOGICAL INTERPRETATION OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY. THE SECOND PART PROVIDES STATISTICS OF THE 1960'S AND EARLY 1970'S AND DESCRIBES THE SITUATION OF DELINQUENCY IN MEXICO. IN A THIRD SECTION, CAUSES OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY ARE DISCUSSED, FOCUSING ON ENDOGENOUS AND EXOGENOUS FACTORS. THE FOURTH PART DESCRIBES THE NATURE OF CRIME, TYPES OF OFFENSES, AND GROUP DELINQUENCY. JUDICIAL ISSUES ARE EXPLORED IN THE FIFTH PART; THE SIXTH PART DELVES INTO TREATMENT AND PREVENTION IN MEXICO, TREATING BOTH THE INSTITUTIONS AND THE SYSTEM. FINALLY, CONCLUSIONS ARE OFFERED: ONLY WITH A PROFOUND UNDERSTANDING OF THE COUNTRY OF MEXICO, A COMMON EFFORT BY ALL CITIZENS. AND THE COOPERATION OF ALL SCIENCES AND BRANCHES OF KNOWLEDGE WILL IT BE POSSIBLE TO PREVENT AND ABATE THE PROBLEM OF JUVENILE DELINQUENCY. THE TEXT INCLUDES A BIBLIOGRPAHY. (IN SPANISH).
