JUVENILE DELINQUENCY CASES IN A JURISDICTION NEAR PARIS, FRANCE ARE COMPARED WITH NATION-WIDE DELINQUENCY, THE NORMAL POPULATION IN THE JURISDICTION, AND SUB-GROUPS WITHIN THE SAMPLE OF CASES.
Abstract
EXAMINED WERE PERSONAL, FAMILY, AND OFFENSE DATA IN COURT RECORDS OF CASES IN ONE JUVENILE COURT IN THE JURISDICTION FROM 1968 TO 1971. SUB-GROUPS COMPARED INCLUDE FIRST OFFENDERS AND RECIDIVISTS, MALES AND FEMALES, DIFFERENT AGE GROUPS, AND DIFFERENT SOCIAL AND FAMILY STIUATIONS. STATISTICAL ANALYSIS RELATES DELINQUENCY PATTERNS TO SOCIAL, OCCUPATIONAL, DEMOGRAPHIC, AND HOUSING FACTORS. --IN FRENCH, SUMMARY IN ENGLISH
