EMPHASIS IN THIS PROGRAM IS ON THE ENHANCEMENT OF THE STUDENT'S SELF-IMAGE, TEACHERS ARE FACILITATIORS, AND THE SPEND THE MAJORITY OF THEIR TIME IN COUNSELING AND NOT INSTRUCTION.
Abstract
STUDENTS LEARN AT THEIR OWN RATE AND DEPTH; STUDENTS ARE GIVEN FREEDOM, BUT ARE FULLY EXPECTED TO BE RESPONSIBLE FOR THAT FREEDOM. THE FREE-LEARNING ENVIRONMENT, WHERE THE STUDENT MAKES IMPORTANT DECISIONS ABOUT HIS TIME AND EFFORT IN THE ACT OF LEARNING, IS IN EFFECT EVERY DAY. THE INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAM IS SUCCESS-ORIENTED; NO ONE FALLS, BUT SOME RECEIVE NO CREDIT. UNLIMITED CREDIT IS GIVEN TO THOSE WHO ARE MOTIVATED TO STUDY AND ACCOMPLISH MORE THAN THE AVERAGE, THE LEARNING AND USING OF POSITIVE INTERPERSONAL SKILLS AS WELL AS COMMUNICATION SKILLS ARE HIGH PRIORITY ITEMS FOR EVERY STUDENT. RESPONSIBILITY THERAPY IS THE FOUNDATIONAL THEORY FOR BEHAVIOR. ACADEMIC EMPHASIS IS UPON INCREASING THE READING SKILLS OF POOR READERS AND IMPROVING MATHEMATIC SKILLS OF THOSE POOR IN MATHEMATICS. MEASURED ACADEMIC PROGRESS FOR STUDENTS IS GOOD, AND SURVEYS HAVE GIVEN HIGHLY POSITIVE FEEDBACK...RCB
