This article details Singapore's laws restricting the travel of drug offenders.
Abstract
Singapore attempts to curtail illicit drug trafficking among those in its jurisdiction in several ways. Drug addicts are given compulsory treatment and rehabilitation. Depending on the gravity of their offenses, drug offenders are not allowed to leave Singapore for specified periods of time ranging from 2 to 15 years. Those who commit certain drug offenses are denied passports. The appeal procedure for those denied passports is described. (Author abstract modified)
