PREPARED IN MAY, 1973, THIS REPORT ANALYZES A PROPOSED PROGRAM THAT WAS DEVELOPED TO REDUCE THE INCIDENCE OF RAPE IN DENVER - OPERATION RAPE REDUCTION.
Abstract
THIS REPORT SUMMARIZES THE BACKGROUND, GENESIS AND CHARACTER OF THE PROPOSED PROGRAM. THE SPECIAL CHARACTER OF THE RAPE PROBLEM IS DISCUSSED, PROGRAMS ELSEWHERE ARE NOTED, AND THE DENVER SITUATION IS DEFINED. SPECIFIC PROJECTS ARE DELINEATED AS PART OF OPERATION RAPE REDUCTION IN THE CRITICAL AREAS OF PUBLIC INFORMATION, THE POLICE, PROSECUTION, VICTIM SUPPORT, AND OFFENDER EVALUATION AND TREATMENT. SUGGESTIONS ARE SUMMARIZED FOR IMPLEMENTING OPERATION RAPE REDUCTION WITH FUNDS AVAILABLE THROUGH THE DENVER ANTICRIME COUNCIL UNDER LEAA'S HIGH IMPACT ANTICRIME PROGRAM. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT)...KAP
