The increase in crime in Denver, Col., during the first quarter of 1981 was horrendous, but efforts of the police and active citizen groups brought these statistics to a reasonable level by the end of the year.
Abstract
The report contains a Denver Police Department organizational chart and graphic and tabular data giving statistics pertaining to personnel assignments, salaries and other matters; the police budget; class I and class II crime Index; and reported offenses by precinct. Major crimes are compared for 1971, 1976, and 1981. Officers killed and assaulted, adult and juvenile arrests, juvenile recidivism, crimes against the elderly, and traffic statistics are reported. Photographs and maps are included.
