Abstract
METHODS OF APPROACH, DATA SOURCES, AND LIMITATIONS OF THE ONE-YEAR STUDY ARE PROVIDED. PROFILE OF A TYPICAL JUVENILE OFFENDER IN THE CITY, IN TERMS OF PERSONAL AND FAMILY BACKGROUNDS IS STATISTICALLY OUTLINED. OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY WAS TO DEVELOP A COMPOSITE DESCRIPTION OF THE CITY@S ACTIVE JUVENILE OFFENDER AND TO COMPARE THOSE CHARACTERISTICS WITH COMPARABLE SEGMENTS OF THE GENERAL DISTRICT POPULATION.
