ANALYZED WERE SENTENCES FOR INCOME TAX EVASION, FRAUD, AND FORGERY IN 1961 AND 1962. MULTI-FACTOR ANALYSIS INDICATED FACTORS INFLUENCING THE JUDGES DECISION TO SEND A CONVICTED OFFENDER TO PRISON AND FOR HOW LONG.
