Abstract
CRISS IS A REGIONALLY-ORIENTED INFORMATION SYSTEM SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED BY, AND FOR, ITS USERS. THIS ARTICLE DESCRIBES THE PROCEDURES FOR USER-PARTICIPATION PLANNING AND OPERATION, AND BRIEFLY COMMENTS ON THE FOLLOWING SYSTEMS NOW AVAILABLE TO USERS: PERSONS FILE, VEHICLE FILE, CRIME FILE, CITATIONS SYSTEM, AND SUSPECT-LOCATOR SYSTEM. ADDITIONAL SYSTEMS ARE PLANNED FOR FUTURE IMPLEMENTATION: CORRECTIONS, COURT REVENUE, ON-LINE BOOKING, FIRST APPEARANCE CALENDARS, COURT REGISTER, ALPHABETICAL COURT CASE INDEX, MANAGEMENT RECORDS - STATISTICAL DATA, CORRECTIONS CLIENT FILE, MANAGEMENT INFORMATION, AND LAW ENFORCEMENT RESOURCE ALLOCATION. AN ORGANIZATION CHART IS INCLUDED.
