This article described the development and evaluation of a 10-sesson program in the treatment of problematic sexual behavior (PSB).
Abstract
A curriculum development team, comprised of professionals from diverse professions and approaches including medicine, psychology, social work, and counseling, created and implemented an educational program for the Society for the Advancement of Sexual Health (SASH). Consistent with broader training approaches in medicine and mental health, the content was conceptualized as a basic overview of problematic sexual behavior (PSB). Professionals were provided with an introduction to PSB so that they might appropriately screen and refer their clients. Evaluations were analyzed to understand the impact of the training and to suggest improvements in the curriculum. Abstract published by arrangement with Taylor and Francis.
