Abstract
THIS IS ONE OF SEVERAL MODELS INTENDED TO INCREASE THE PERSONAL, SOCIAL, AND ACADEMIC GAINS OF INSTITUTIONALIZED DELINQUENTS THROUGH ACCOMMODATING TEACHING STYLES AND ATTITUDES TO THEIR PERSONALITY LEVELS. PERSONALITY LEVELS ARE DEFINED ACCORDING TO THE INTERPERSONAL MATURITY CLASSIFICATION SYSTEM. THESE MODELS ARE ADAPTABLE TO ANY TEACHING SITUATION WHERE THESE LEVELS OF PERSONALITY DEVELOPMENT ARE PRESENT. THE MODELS WERE FIRST DEVELOPED AT PASO ROBLES SCHOOL FOR BOYS. LATER THE PROJECT WAS TRANSFERRED TO VENTURA SCHOOL, A COEDUCATIONAL INSTITUTION. THERE IS A DESCRIPTION OF THE COEDUCATIONAL SETTING. OTHER MODELS ARE DISCUSSED IN NCJ-11316, NCJ-11318, AND NCJ-11319.
