Several companies offer systems that can generate digital images of a subject's face.
Abstract
One system, known as FACE, can simulate aging, adding wrinkles, sunspots, and other age marks. Law enforcement agencies have used FACE to locate missing children. FACE software runs on IBM personal computers, and its cost of $15,000 is in line with other computer photo systems. The Visatex system stores up to 10,000 digital photos on compact disk, with text storage capability. Visatex also offers a 12-inch optical drive that stores up to 100,000 images.
