The Adjudication Technical Assistance Project, conducted by the American University under a cooperative agreement with the Bureau of Justice Assistance, provides technical assistance to State and local jurisdictions planning or implementing programs under the Anti-Drug Abuse Act and the Justice Assistance Act.
Abstract
The project is also designed to support locally-funded efforts in court delay reduction, jail crowding reduction, career criminal/selective prosecution, and general adjudication system improvement programs to accommodate the direct and indirect impact of State and local antidrug abuse activities on State judicial systems. This directory of selected State justice system officials and justice system organizations was compiled by project staff. It lists the State's chief justice, court administrator, judicial education officer, attorney general, and planning agency director. Addresses and telephone numbers are given for the points of contact identified. The directory also lists national associations and organizations, along with adjudication system technical assistance and training grantees of the Bureau of Justice Assistance.
