Abstract
FACTORS DISCUSSED IN RELATION TO THE COURT REPORT INCLUDE SUGGESTED FORMATS, THE CONTENT OF THE REPORT, SOURCES OF INFORMATION, THE INVESTIGATION PROCESS, AND DISSEMINATION. THE IMPORTANCE OF THE HEARING ROOM ITSELF IS EXAMINED, AND RECOMMENDATIONS ON THE SIZE AND SHAPE, DECOR, FURNITURE DESIGN, AND FURNITURE ARRANGEMENTS ARE PROVIDED. THE INPUT, ACCEPTED ROLES, APPEARANCES, INTERCOMMUNICATION, AND SENSITIVITY OF HEARING PARTICIPANTS ARE ALSO DISCUSSED. FINALLY, FACTORS IN THE ACTUAL HEARING ARE DISCUSSED, INCLUDING PREPARATION OF THE SETTING, OPENING, PARTICIPATION, ELEMENTS OF THE DECISION, AND ELEMENTS OF THE DISPOSITION ORDER. RULES AND GUIDELINES ON SUPERVISION OF THE CHILD'S PROGRESS AFTER THE DISPOSITION HEARING ARE ALSO INCLUDED.
