This report presents a summary of the work of the District of Columbia Courts for the year 2010.
Abstract
The work of the District of Columbia (DC) Courts is guided by Delivering Justice, the strategic plan for the Courts for the years 2008- 2012. The plan identifies six issues that govern the direction of the DC Courts' activities. This report presents a summary of the activities undertaken by the D.C. Courts' in each of the six strategic areas: 1) Fair and Timely Case Resolution; 2) Access to Justice; 3) A Strong Judiciary and Workforce; 4) A Sound Infrastructure; 5) Security and Disaster Preparedness; and 6) Public Trust and Confidence. Information on court personnel includes a list of: members of the Joint Committee on Judicial Administration; Associate and Senior Judges of the Court of Appeals; Associate and Senior Judges of the Superior Court; and Magistrate Judges. An organizational chart of the DC Courts is also included in the report.
