CANADIAN FEDERAL AND PROVINCIAL LAWS, U.S. FEDERAL AND STATE LAWS, AND JUDICIAL DECISIONS IN THE AREA OF PUBLIC DRUNKENNESS ARE REVIEWED. INFORMATION IS ALSO GIVEN ON THE NUMBER OF CONVICTIONS AND THE COSTS OF INCARCERATING THE PUBLIC INEBRIATE FOR EACH OF THE CANADIAN PROVINCES.
