This document provides a listing of publications that are relevant to the drug court field.
Abstract
This resource guide is intended to assist researchers and practitioners in identifying drug court-related information that will assist them in planning, implementing, enhancing, and evaluating their drug court programs. It updates the 1999, 2000, and 2001 editions and includes many new publications. The guide is organized into three major categories. Within each category there are subcategories where materials are listed alphabetically by title. Each listing includes the title of the publication, the author, the publisher, the date, how to obtain the publication, and a brief description of the publication. The first major category is Drug Courts, which includes the subcategories Juvenile and Family Drug Courts, Legal Issues in Drug Courts, Drug Court Planning and Implementation, and Specialized Courts and Community Programs. The second major category is Research, Evaluation and Statistics. The subcategories include Drug Court Program Evaluation, Cost Analysis, Management Information Systems, and Statistical Information. The third major category is Treatment and Substance Abuse. The subcategories are Adolescent Treatment, Co-occurring Disorders, Correctional Settings and Therapeutic Communities, Drug Testing, Screening and Assessment, Pharmacological Therapy, Substance Abuse, and Substance Abuse Prevention. The guide was compiled from a variety of publications and databases. The listing of materials and organizations is not all-inclusive and does not constitute or imply endorsement by the National Drug Court Institute. Appendix, index
