This annotated bibliography lists materials that may be used by schools concerned with alcohol and other drug abuse by young people or by their families and friends.
Abstract
Materials were included in the bibliography only if the main idea could be used to generate a discussion of alcohol and other drug use. The cited literature is categorized as follows: fiction books, short stories, poetry, and nonfiction books. Grade levels are indicated for some works, denoting recommended age groups but not necessarily reading levels. Preparatory and followup activities to complement use of the bibliography are suggested. The bibliography includes 43 annotated citations and a list of poetry.
