The budget will cover domestic drug law enforcement; cooperative investigations in foreign countries; the prevention of diversion of legally produced drugs into illicit channels; cooperation with State and local agencies; and the collection, analysis, and dissemination of drug intelligence in support of Federal, State, and local efforts. It will also support research and engineering related to drug law enforcement, laboratory analysis of evidence, expert testimony, the maintenance of technical equipment, records management systems, and overall management.
