This report evaluates the strategy development process undertaken by the DuPage County (Illinois) Drug Control Strategy Task Force.
Abstract
The report discusses each step in the development proces, including initial planning, goal setting, selection of task force members, and final release of the completed strategy. The report also covers the task force's approaches to gathering information, publicizing their efforts, conducting meetings, facilitating communication, and generating a final report. The evaluative portion of the report focuses on the task force's success in unifying community resources, promoting community awareness, adhering to the previously established timetable, and staying in touch with the community. Based on this evaluation, recommendations are offered to other communities attempting a similar effort. 1 figure, 9 tables, and 17 appendixes
