Abstract
A study of victimization in Finland and Estonia presents data from the 1992-93 International Crime Victimization Survey. A study of crimes against Finnish businesses operating in the St. Petersburg region used data from Finnish written sources and interviews conducted in 1994 and 1995 with company representatives. A study of crime in Estonia in a time of change used Estonian survey data from 1993 and 1995, using the 1992 International Crime Victimization Survey. Additional reports examined security risks for businesses operating in the St. Petersburg region and in Estonia, organized crime and responses to organized crime in Russia, Finnish professional criminals and how they take advantage of crime opportunities in Estonia, Russian organized crime, and homicides in Estonia in the 1990’s.
