Abstract
EIGHT ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINANTS OF VIOLENT INMATE BEHAVIOR WERE IDENTIFIED AND DISCUSSED - NORMATIVE STIMULI, PERSONAL AND GROUP INVESTMENT, POSITIVE REINFORCEMENT OF ACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR, ENVIRONMENTAL CONSISTENCY, SUPPORTIVE SPATIAL ARRANGEMENTS, PHYSICAL SCALE, INCREASED CHOICE FOR INMATES, AND PURPOSIVE ACTIVITY.
