Abstract
It discusses the success of foundation-sponsored projects to help disadvantaged children and presents case histories of three young clients. It outlines plans devised at the Alma-Ata, USSR, conference to improve the health of people worldwide and notes that advances in immunology research for schistosomiasis have been striking. The foundation has also helped support many alternative-to-institutionalization programs and jobs programs for the disadvantaged. The report outlines the foundation's grantmaking procedures, grant activity, and budget. Data tables are presented.
