THIS REPORT PRESENTS A MANPOWER NEEDS ASSESSMENT FOR THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM IN THE NORTHWESTERN STATES OF OREGON, WASHINGTON, IDAHO, MONTANA, AND ALASKA AND AN ANALYSIS OF CRIMINAL JUSTICE EDUCATION PROGRAMS.
Abstract
THIS REPORT ALSO ATTEMPTS TO ESTABLISH GOALS OR TARGETS FOR THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM THROUGH 1985 AND TO LOOK AT THE EDUCATIONAL AND TRAINING PROGRAMS WHICH WILL BE NEEDED IF THESE GOALS OR TARGETS ARE TO BE REACHED. TRENDS IN DIVERSION, DECRIMINALIZATION, PROBATION AND PAROLE, AND MISDEMEANANT PROGRAMS ARE EXAMINED AND THE TYPES OF PERSONS NEEDED TO MANAGE SOME OF THESE NEW PROGRAMS ARE DISCUSSED. BIBLIOGRAPHIES ARE INCLUDED.
