Abstract
The book addresses issues within the four phases of the instructional process: design, development, implementation, and evaluation. Chapters on design pertain to what must be taught, how objectives are written, the characteristics of the trainees, the training methods that can be used, the training resources that are available, and how learning is tested. In the area of development, the book focuses on how various types of instructional materials can be prepared, as well as how training, topics, and lesson plans are developed. Implementation pertains to how training can be accomplished, and evaluation considers how training results can be determined. Separate chapters describe various means for delivering training materials. They include display charts; printed materials; overhead transparencies; slides and slide/tape programs; audiotape recording; video recordings; and interactive media technologies, including computer-based training. 76 references and a subject index
