The rapid emergence of elderly abuse as a social problem has led to the public dissemination of data derived from exploratory research.

Abstract

This paper assesses the state of knowledge of elderly abuse and examines the limitations of current research on the extent, patterns, and causes of elderly abuse. Suggestions are offered to researchers and practitioners. (Author abstract)
