Abstract
The first chapter of the book covers intruder alarms, detection devices, control panels, zones, signaling equipment, personal security, false alarms, and security standards and codes of practice. The second chapter considers lighting, sensors, occupancy detectors, and environmental protection and monitoring. The third chapter looks at call and access control, electronic access control methods, audio digital systems and intercoms, closed circuit television systems, and fence detection systems. The fourth chapter focuses on fire alarms, while the fifth chapter discusses such security methods as stand-alone alarms, wireless intruder alarms, vehicle and special-purpose protection, and 24-hour central stations. 1 table and 48 figures
