Abstract
The discussion includes all the changes made by the Criminal Justice Acts 1991 and 1993 and by the Magistrates' Association Sentencing Guidelines. Individual chapters focus on sentencing goals, sentencing laws, and sentencing principles and procedures. Additional chapters focus on specific types of sentences, including custodial sentences, community sentences, fines and forfeiture, discharges and bind overs, victim compensation, restitution, confiscation, driver's license suspension and revocation, and the revocation of a driver's license. Further chapters discuss the sentencing of mentally disordered offenders, sentencing for specific offenses, appeals, rehabilitation, and pardons.
