In January 1984, two police officers were shot and wounded, and a suspect in possession of a .22-caliber Rohm RG-10 revolver was subsequently arrested.
Abstract
Because the bullets could not be removed because of the potential for nerve damage, estimations of bullet size from xrays were conducted using a modified pelvimetry technique that compensates for distortions of size in the xray. Calculations for the real dimensions of the bullets gave figures that corresponded to a .22-caliber comparison bullet in both officers. Although the two evidence bullets can never be proven to have been fired from the revolver seized in evidence, they are of the same type caliber that is capable of being chambered and fired from it. 4 photographs and 6 references.
