Abstract
THE EXERCISE IS PART OF THE 12-WEEK POLICE SCHOOL CONDUCTED BY THE CONSOLIDATED FEDERAL LAW ENFORCEMENT TRAINING CENTER IN WASHINGTON, D.C. SPECIALLY TRAINED ROLE PLAYERS ACT IN STAGED SITUATIONS DESIGNED TO ELICIT APPLICATION OF VARIOUS LAW ENFORCEMENT SKILLS BY RECRUITS. METHODS ARE DISCUSSED FOR ACHIEVING REALISM, AND RELEVANCE IN THE EXERCISE. INCLUDED ARE GUIDELINES FOR IMPLEMENTATION OF THE EXERCISE BY LOCAL POLICE AGENCIES.
