A SUMMARY EVALUATION OF AN ORGANIZATION THAT GATHERS, ANALYZES AND DISSEMINATES STRATEGIC AND TACTICAL INFORMATION REGARDING ORGANIZED CRIME FIGURES AND SYNDICATED CRIMINAL ACTIVITY IN THE STATE OF MICHIGAN.
Abstract
THE METHODOLOGY OF THIS EVALUATION WAS TO CIRCULATE A QUESTIONNAIRE TO THIRTEEN PARTICIPATING UNITS AND TEN NON-PARTICIPATING UNITS. PARTICIPATING UNITS ARE THOSE WHO CONTRIBUTE PERSONNEL TO THE MICHIGAN INTELLIGENCE NETWORK TEAM (MINT). THE QUESTIONNAIRE CONTAINED FOUR QUESTIONS THAT CAN BE COLLECTIVELY PARAPHRASED AS, 'DO YOU THINK MINT IS DOING A GOOD JOB'. THE OVERWHELMING POSITIVE RESPONSE LED THE EVALUATORS TO CONCLUDE THAT THE PROJECT IS VIABLE AND SHOULD BE EXPANDED.
