THIS STUDY EXPLAINS SOME OF THE TOOLS NECESSARY IN THE DEVELOPMENT OF A CRIMINAL JUSTICE TRAINING COURSE.
Abstract
THE TRAINING COURSE CALLS FOR AT LEAST FOUR COURSES: PLANNING, ANALYSIS(DIVIDED INTO TWO SECTIONS--STATE AND LOCAL), PROGRAM DEVELOPMENT, AND MONITORING AND EVALUATION. TWO SETS OF RECOMMENDATIONS WERE RENDERED. THE FIRST SET WERE RELATIVELY MINIMAL AND INCLUDED SUGGESTIONS SUCH AS BETTER SELECTION OF PARTICIPANTS TO MATCH THE COURSE, GIVING THE COURSE A BETTER OVERALL FOCUS, BETTER EDITING OF MATERIALS, AND REDUCTION OF THE COURSE OUTLINES TO MAKE IT MORE MANAGEABLE. THE SECOND INVOLVED REASSESSING THE BASIC PREMISE OF THE COURSE, MODULARIZING THE COURSE AND ALLOWING PARTICIPANTS TO SELECT THEIR OWN MODULE, AND FORMING A BETTER INTERRELATIONSHIP AMONG THE COURSES....BDS
