This book examines why the killings at Columbine High and in other U.S. schools occurred, and offers solutions.
Abstract
The author argues that 4 of the 11 major school shootings discussed in the book were satanically motivated (Edinboro, Pearl, Paducah, and Littleton). Of the other seven, three (Moses Lake, Springfield, and Conyers) indicated strong demonic cultural influences. The others (Bethel, Jonesboro, Richmond, Taber) have not provided enough evidence to determine what forces precipitated the "extreme evil." The author outlines "seven ways to protect your neighborhood, school, and family." They are to report criminal behavior to authorities; educate others about the dangers of the media; learn about Internet filtration systems; help other families to rid their homes of evil influence; report problem children to each other; declare your support for school officials to take decisive action; and encourage mothers to stay at home as much as possible. The author also documents the religious faith of some of the Columbine victims, a faith that in some cases caused them to be targeted by the killers. This book appeals for the development of family-based religious faith that emphasizes God's love and the development of virtues in children that reflect this love. The hope is that these virtues will in turn impact the culture that influences all kids. The appendix lists information on "copycat" situations in which kids were stopped before any killing occurred.
