Abstract
Inmate population data address the average daily population and capacity by month, the female average daily population and capacity by month, and the average daily population per month by type of facility. Data on the characteristics of residents, facilities, and work release cover distribution of location by race and Hispanic origin, by violent crime convictions, by age category including average age, by race and Hispanic origin for female inmates, and by county of conviction. Data are also provided on distribution by military service; distribution of offense by location, by race and Hispanic origin, and by race and Hispanic origin for offenders currently housed in rented beds out of State. Data on admissions to facilities show comparisons of admissions and releases by month, as well as admissions by month, type of admission, and sex; by type of admission and county of conviction; by age at admission, race, Hispanic origin, and sex; by county of conviction, race, and Hispanic origin; and by offense and type of admission. Releases from facilities are shown by month, type of release, and sex; by type of release, race, and Hispanic origin; and release type by length of stay. Length of stay of releases is shown by category of admission, special sentences, and offense for new admission and readmission. Custody distributions of inmates are shown by location, most recent override reason, most recent placement reason for nonstandard minimum assignments, by population assignment and sex, by sex and classification score, by override reason and score, and by risk-management type.
