Washington State corrections data for fiscal year 2006 show the population of adult correctional facilities, the characteristics of residents by facilities and work release, admissions to facilities, releases, and custody distributions of residents within facilities.
Abstract
The average daily population and capacity are shown for each State facility by month. A separate table provides this information for female residents. For each facility and for work release, data are provided on the following resident characteristics: race and Hispanic origin, military service, offense, violent-crime convictions in Washington State courts, age (including average age), race and Hispanic origin of female inmates, county of conviction, offense by race and Hispanic origin, offenders by race and Hispanic origin who are housed in rented beds out of State, and type of risk management. Data on resident admissions cover the month, type of admission, and sex; type of admission and county of conviction; age, race, Hispanic origin, and sex; county of conviction by race and Hispanic origin; and offense by type of admission. Data on resident releases address month, type of release, and sex; type of release by race and Hispanic origin; release type by length of stay; and length of stay by category of admission for special sentences, offense for new admission, and offense for readmission. Data tables on custody distributions of residents within each facility cover current custody classification by location; current classification by most recent override reason that excludes minimum custody scores with minimum placement; current custody classification by most recent placement reason for nonstandard minimum assignments; current custody classification by population assignment and sex; initial custody classification by sex and score; initial custody classification by override reason and score; and custody classification by risk management type.
