DISSERTATION BASED ON A STUDY TO DETERMINE WHETHER OR NOT A SIGNIFICANT RELATIONSHIP EXISTS BETWEEN THE PER-STUDENT WEIGHTED INCIDENCE OF MALICIOUS PROPERTY DESTRUCTION AND THE ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE IN 16 DETROIT PUBLIC SCHOOLS.
Abstract
A LITERATURE REVIEW WAS CONDUCTED AND THREE PREVIOUS STUDIES WHICH PROVIDED DIRECTIONS FOR POSITIVE SCHOOL ATMOSPHERE AND MORALE AS BEING INSTRUMENTAL IN REDUCING VANDALISM WERE DISCUSSED. THE ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE DESCRIPTION QUESTIONNAIRE WAS ADMINISTERED VOLUNTARILY TO THE 16 SCHOOLS. ANALYSIS OF THE QUESTIONNAIRE RESULTS ALONG WITH THE PER-STUDENT WEIGHTED FACTOR OF MALICIOUS PROPERTY DESTRUCTION IN EACH SCHOOL YIELDED A CONCLUSION THAT THERE EXISTS NO SIGNIFICANT CORRELATION BETWEEN PROPERTY DESTRUCTION AND THE ORGANIZATIONAL CLIMATE OF THE 16 SCHOOLS.
