Abstract
Individual sections explain the law relating to legal representation and discuss procedures relating to juvenile delinquency, persons in need of supervision, neglect and abuse, permanent neglect, foster care review, custody, guardianship, education of handicapped persons, marriage applications, and material witnesses. Other sections explain support, paternity, and family offense issues related to adults. Lists and definitions of positions of family court personnel inside and outside New York City, a glossary, sample petitions used in the family court, and a diagram showing the structure of the New York court system.
