Written for law enforcement personnel, this manual summarizes the laws and procedures covered by the Training Project on Family Violence for Indiana Law Enforcement Officers and provides a range of approaches to protect domestic assault victims.
Abstract
Individual sections provide offense definitions, outline police responsibilities regarding domestic violence, and discuss civil liability for failure to protect victims from harm.
