Abstract
The 13 bombings and attempted bombings did not injure or kill anyone. They all took place in New York or Puerto Rico. Groups claiming responsibility for the incidents included Jewish Direct Action, the Organization of Volunteers for the Puerto Rican Revolution, the United Freedom Front, and Red Guerrilla Resistance. The FBI's counterterrorism efforts resulted in arrests, convictions, deportations, and seizures of arms and ammunition. Summaries of trends in domestic terrorism between 1977 and 1981 and of criminal acts committed to support terrorism or as a result of it are included.
