This report describes the functions and 1994 activities of the Federal Judicial Center, which provides education and training for Federal judges and other court personnel, research and planning, and publications and media productions.
Abstract
The Center also undertakes cooperative ventures with the State court system an related organizations. In 1994, the Center provided almost 850 educational programs that reached almost 23,000 Federal judges and court staff. It also completed 33 research or planning projects, continued work on 84 others, published eight reports or papers, and published or updated seven manuals or other reference books. In addition, it produced 11 video or multimedia programs, completed nine training guides or workbooks, distributed more than 150,000 publications and more than 4,000 audio or visual programs, hosted more than 600 visitors from foreign judicial systems in 115 countries, answered nearly 2,000 information requests from court staff, and responded to nearly 200 informal requests from courts and other organizations for research assistance.
