The 1999 Annual Report describes the Federal Judicial Center’s activities in improvements to the judicial administration in the courts of the United States through education, training, and research.
Abstract
The report presents the accomplishments of the Center: provided 906 educational programs for more than 37,000 Federal judge and court staff participants; completed 23 major research and evaluation projects, continued work on 31 others; produced or updated 53 educational media programs; broadcast more than 1,400 hours of educational and informational programs from the Center and Administrative Office on the Federal Judicial Television Network; completed 8 curriculum packages and training guides; distributed almost 250,000 Center publications; answered some 2,000 information requests from judicial officials and others; and hosted seminars or briefings for almost 430 foreign judges and officials from 70 countries.
