Abstract
ON MARCH 24, 1975 THE FINAL REPORT OF THE CALIFORNIA AD HOC COMMITTEE ON THE PREVENTION AND MANAGEMENT OF CONFLICT AND CRIME IN THE SCHOOLS WAS SUBMITTED TO THE CALIFORNIA ATTORNEY GENERAL AND SUPERINTENDENT OF PUBLIC INSTRUCTION. THIS PAPER SUMMARIZES THE RECOMMENDATIONS MADE IN THAT REPORT CONCERNING AGENCY COOPERATION, CRISIS RESPONSE PLANS FOR SCHOOLS, SCHOOL CLIMATE AND PRACTICES, REVIEW OF THE JUVENILE JUSTICE SYSTEM, AND STANDARDIZED DATA COLLECTION.
