Abstract
This report provides information about the different components of the Family Court Division, which includes the Judicial, Juvenile, and Domestic Relations. The Family Division Branch provides a statistical summary of all the different types of cases that were files and disposed of in each branch, as well as support orders and restitution payments that were received. The Juvenile Branch hears three types of cases involving juveniles. These included delinquency cases, cases involving neglected and abused children, and criminal cases involving juvenile victims. The Domestic Branch on the other hand, was more involved with cases involving parental responsibilities such as financial support of children and spouses, child custody and visitation, divorce, and domestic violence issues. An additional support service that was included in the Family Division was Children and Youth Services which focused primarily on issues concerning adoption, medical, nursery programs, and a community support program.
