The general information section lists the constitutional duties of the attorney general and the means of Florida attorneys general from 1845. A statement of policy concerning attorney general opinions focuses on the general nature and purpose of opinions, persons to whom opinions will be issued, when opinions will not be issued, and the form in which the request should be submitted. The format of the opinions consists of a topic statement, the specific questions to be answered in the opinion, a summary of the opinion, and a detailed discussion of the legal bases for the opinion. A general subject index is provided along with a citator to Florida statutes, constitution, and session laws.
