Abstract
THESE GUIDELINES ACCOMPANY THE TEA PUBLICATION, 'A FRAMEWORK FOR CRIME PREVENTION AND DRUG EDUCATION IN TEXAS: DESIRABLE STUDENT OUTCOME.' THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR SECONDARY LEVEL STUDENTS. THE GUIDELINES FOCUS ON BROAD HUMAN RELATIONS SKILLS AND HOPED-FOR STUDENT OPINION CHANGES, RATHER THAN SPECIFIC FACTS WHICH MUST BE LEARNED. THE TEACHER'S ROLE AS A MODEL IS EMPHASIZED. CHARTS PRESENT GENERIC SKILLS, PROCESS SKILLS, AND RESOURCE SKILLS DEEMED NEEDED TOGETHER WITH THE DESIRED STUDENT OUTCOME. A FOOTNOTED GLOSSARY DISCUSSES PERTINENT TERMS. A BIBLIOGRAPHY IS APPENDED.
