Abstract
THE SYMPOSIUM, COMPOSED OF 10 PAPERS, ATTEMPTS TO ANALYZE THE PROBLEM AT TWO LEVELS: FIRST, INTERNATIONAL AND DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IS DEALT WITH SEPARATELY BY SCHOLARS WHO HAVE INCLUDED THE ANALYSIS OF BOTH LEVELS IN THEIR STUDIES, BUT HAVE FOCUSED ON ONE OR THE OTHER; SECOND, THE SYMPOSIUM ATTEMPTS TO SYNTHESIZE VIOLENCE AT THE SOCIETAL AND INTERSOCIETAL LEVEL IN ORDER TO CONSTRUCT A PREDICTIVE MODEL FOR THE LINKAGE BETWEEN SOCIETAL AND INTERSOCIETAL VIOLENCE. WORTHY RESEARCHABLE PROBLEMS ARE ALSO IDENTIFIED. (AUTHOR ABSTRACT MODIFIED)
